Making meals matter
 
A seminar for health professionals and care givers working with older people
featuring New Zealand’s foremost dietitians working in this field.
 
The seminar will cover:
  • “Nutrition 101” for older people – an update on the nutrition needs of older people.
  •  How to identify clients who may be at risk of malnutrition and if they are, what to do about it.
  • The dos and don’ts of creating the optimum eating environment for older people.
  • Some of the latest food and nutrition products and menu ideas.
  • Educational resources on nutrition for the ageing population.

    Who should attend?
      Health professionals and care givers who work with older people living in the community or in rest homes - including dietitians, nurses, doctors and other health professionals, managers and cooks.
