The committee, a special interest group of the Foundation, was initially established in 2004, to champion the cause for improving the quality of life of older New Zealanders, through nutrition and physical activity.
Each quarter, this bulletin provides an update on issues of importance or topical interest in relation to optimal nutrition and physical activity of older people.
A healthy combination of good food and exercise can delay or even reverse many of the problems associated with aging, helping older New Zealanders to continue living independently and enjoy a good quality of life.
